Thoughts for the Day

" Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict." William Ellery Channing

Well I was always touched by the small yet great sacrifices that we women make....in almost every phase of our lives...that might go unnoticed and unspoken for days, months or even years to come....it could have been for our families (parents,in-laws,siblings,relatives), or it could have been for our husbands, and most importantly for our kids.

Somehow it amazing to see that it still doesn't make us any weaker than our male counterparts...but instead ...for some reason we grow stronger and stronger by each passing day and have that capacity to face life's toughest challenges or even to endure painful experiences and still find that strength and power within ourselves to emerge as a winner...no matter how painful the process might have been....

For some of you who are reading my blog and are currently sacrificing some strong desire or wishes, to be somewhere, someplace else either in your life or position....

My word of wisdom to you all is "Focus not on what you want and that you don't have now...but on what you have for now and enjoy it while it last ...for eventually you would have what you want ......for sure"

For now just ENJOY BEING A WONDERFUL WOMEN THAT YOU ARE...

Some good quotes for women and their sacrifices ....

BARACK OBAMA:
She was the cornerstone of our family and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances. [with his sister, on the death of his grandmother Madelyn Dunham just before the November 2008 election]

As quoted by ELAINE HEFFNER:
Women do not have to sacrifice personhood if they are mothers. They do not have to sacrifice motherhood in order to be persons. Liberation was meant to expand women's opportunities, not to limit them. The self-esteem that has been found in new pursuits can also be found in mothering.

JACQUELINE KENNEDY ONASSIS:
I am a woman above everything else.
